What is a Chamber?

Click for a printable version.

The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is comprised of businesses and community associations serving as annual paying members. Chambers of Commerce are not part of local, county, state or federal government. The Fairfield Chamber, however, partners with government agencies to serve our members.

What the Chamber does for you
Our members receive various benefits and services to assist in the growth and promotion of their businesses.

A New Business Partner
The Chamber is your most valuable and yet lowest paid employee. We have committees comprised of business professionals who work toward the improvement of business opportunities for Chamber members.

A Voice for Your Business
The Chamber is your business advocate to voice your needs and concerns to elected officials about important legislative issues.

A Necessary Business Investment
The Chamber membership is a necessary business investment as the Chamber is there to work for you 365 x 24 x 7.  No other central location can offer members so many benefits for one low yearly membership.

An Extension of your Business
The Chamber is a central location for meetings and networking events for business development.

Promoting Your Business
The Chamber offers, free of charge, several social media platforms to promote your business. We also provide opportunities to make key business connections at networking sessions (on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month), Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours, and more.

Marketing Your Business
The Chamber offers one-to-one marketing to help you get the most “bang” from your advertising campaigns.

Major Chamber Events
The Chamber has a number of ways to connect for business opportunities at the Annual Chamber Dinner in March. Annual Golf Outing in May and Business Showcase held in October.

Committee Involvement
The Chamber has a number of committees that will welcome your involvement. Existing committees include the CEO/Senior Manager Roundtable discussion, the Young Business Professionals, Women ‘N Business, Chamber Ambassadors, the Business Showcase committee, and others.
