The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce held our 2204 Annual Meeting at Receptions on Thursday, October 10.

PINNACLE OF BUSINESS AWARD – Hamilton Casework Solutions

To recognize a business that exemplifies outstanding performance, innovation, and leadership in the Fairfield business community.

Originally known as Hamilton Sorter, the company has been in Fairfield since 1971 and started out making mailroom sorting racks. Today, Hamilton Casework manufactures a wide array of casework, desks, and cabinetry products, which are found everywhere from FC Cincinnati locker rooms to new hospitals in Kuwait. In the midst of the pandemic, the company recognized the need for quality home office furniture and created Porvata, an online home office furniture line.

FAIRFIELD CATALYST AWARD – Butler Tech

To honor a business that has made significant contributions to the economic development of the Fairfield community through job creation, business expansion, or other economic activities.

A familiar name to all of us, Butler Tech is a joint vocational school district like none other in the State of Ohio. Always at the forefront of innovation in public education, Butler Tech offers career and technical education programs at its campuses throughout Butler County, filling the workforce needs of tomorrow. New BioScience Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing campuses will soon enhance Butler Tech’s commitment to driving economic growth in our community.  

COMMUNITY CHAMPION AWARD – Michael Berding

To recognize a business, organization or individual who has made outstanding contributions to improving the quality of life in the Fairfield community through community service and engagement.

Michael Berding, Fairfield Township Trustee, has championed the memorial at Hero’s Park, been involved in the Township BB league for 20 years as President, VP, and referee, and served on the zoning commission for 14 years. He has been on the Fairfield Father-Daughter Dance Committee for over a decade, helped raise $100K for Fairfield Schools, is a Fairfield Civitan Member, and in Fairfield Rotary Club. He served on the Fairfield School Board for 8 years, Butler Tech’s for 7, and is a church elder.
