Join the Fairfield Safety Council to focus on our most valuable tool… our hands!

  • Prevent the Most Common Workplace Injury – Learn how to reduce cuts, crushes, strains, and chemical burns by using proper tools, techniques, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and Avoid Hand Hazards – Understand the top seven risks—from pinch points and hazardous substances to lifting injuries and falls—and how to protect against them.
  • Use Tools and PPE the Right Way – Discover why sharp blades, missing guards, and improper gloves are leading causes of hand injuries—and how simple steps can prevent them.
  • Keep Your Hands Strong and Healthy – Prevent strain and fatigue with ergonomic tools, stretching routines, and safe handling techniques for repetitive or heavy tasks.
  • Stay Aware, Stay Safe – Situational awareness and safety habits—like inspecting your environment, clearing clutter, and taking breaks—are your first line of defense.

Program Details

For the BWC program year (July 2025 – June 2026), Safety Councils across Ohio will continue to meet in person, and BWC will continue to offer a 3% premium rebate for eligible participating employers.

Cost to participate is $120 per year per company/organization.

The Fairfield Safety Council meets year-round on the second Tuesday of each month, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

Who Can Participate?

We welcome businesses and organizations of all types and industries. You do not need to be a member of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce to attend. Our mission is to support the safety and well-being of workers throughout the region—everyone is welcome.

Participation is simple.

  • Join or confirm your existing, active membership in a local safety council by July 31, 2025.
  • Attend 10 in-person safety council meetings between July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026.
  • Learn more about the opportunity to earn up to two external training credits toward the 10-meeting rebate requirement from your local sponsor.
